Counsellor & Psychotherapist
Hello. My name is Justine Brooks and I’m a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist.
I work with adults who want to see change in their lives. People who want to feel more like themselves but find that life is getting in the way. I also work with people who have experienced difficult or unsettling changes in their lives, such as traumatic events or loss in the form of bereavement, the loss of a relationship, the loss of a way of life.
I work relationally, integrating different psychotherapeutic theories into my practice and turning to those approaches as I feel is appropriate to each client. This means that I work in a bespoke and personalised way with each individual client.
Through learning to understand your own behaviour and reactions as well as those of others, you can also learn to change or modify your behaviours or step out of patterns, bringing positivity and fulfilment to your life.
I have experience in working as a bereavement counsellor and have also worked with issues around trauma and childhood trauma, menopause, burn-out, domestic abuse and chronic illness.
I have a post graduate diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy and I’m a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists (BACP). This means I practice to a set code of ethical practice.
If you think you might like to work with me, please get in touch for an informal conversation.
Please see my website for more information about me and how I work.
