Our Evolved Brains
Early therapy sessions are often spent exploring psycho-education. This means we consider how and why our brains have evolved to work as they do. It’s an essential part of understanding that we are not ‘mad’ or ‘bonkers’; we are merely reacting the way we are designed to.
In this 7 minute clip Neuroendocrinologist, Professor Robert Sapolsky explains beautifully what is going on in our brains.  I haven’t read his book yet but I think it’s probably worth a look.
