Samaritans

Samaritans offer a safe place for you to talk any time you like, in your own way – about whatever is getting to you. You don’t have to be suicidal.

Dial House

Dial House is a place of sanctuary open 6pm-2am Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Wednesday evenings. Visitors can access Dial House when they are in Crisis. Visitors can relax in a homely environment and can access an hour of one-to-one support from a team of Crisis Support Workers.

Leeds Mental Health Directory (MindWell) is a website offering mental health information for everyone in Leeds.

Connect Helpline

Connect is a telephone helpline open 6pm-2am every night of the year for people living in Leeds. The service provides emotional support and information for people in Distress.

Dial House @ Touchstones

Dial House @ Touchstones is a Crisis service, similar to Dial House, but for people from Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) groups. It provides cultural specific support, and works as a bridge to Dial House helping to make it more accessible. This service is open 6pm-11pm Tuesday and Thursday.

Leeds Adult Social Care

This is a service that provides support to people over the age of 18 that live with illnesses and disabilities. This can include supporting older people, people with learning disabilities, people with physical disabilities, people with mental health problems, people with drug or alcohol issues, and carers.

Leeds Crisis Assessment Service

This is an acute mental health service for Leeds. It offers assessments to people 18 years and over who are experiencing acute mental health problems that may be a risk to themselves and/or others.

Leeds Domestic Violence Service is a helpline open 24 hours every day for confidential support, information and access to emergency accommodation for women and men experiencing violence, fear or abuse at home.

Mind is a charity that “won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect”. Their website is full of useful information about mental health problems, including information on diagnosis’, what support is available, and self help guides and tips.
